RE: Land Rover Defender and the Truck Camper

Doesn't it depend if you can put the transfer in neutral for automatic. I've read it can be hard on automatic to tow because the fluid isn't running through them. If its a stick, not issues.

RE: Tank Level display panel

I think some one here called the tank level panel a "entertainment center" a while back.
My tanks are all empty at the moment and my back tank shows 2/3 full. I would only use it as a reference albeit a bad one.
+1 on this!
Make that +2.
I was always watching ours at first. Our gray would read 1/4 or 1/3 full (I forget which is the second light) after puting a gallon of water down the sink. Same with black, you take a couple pisses and the second light is on. They stay there for a long time. I don't worry about them anymore. It takes a while until you realize what you can put in them and when they get close to full.
But, be aware of little kids leaving faucet on while washing hands and brushing teath. lol.

RE: Found a used boat

Bigger hitch might be over doing it, just go with a 2 5/16" ball.

RE: Who is a four season TC'er?

We are planning on camping all year round.
Should I be worried about the water lines to the outdoor shower while using the water in the camper in the winter?

RE: Truck Tire Recommendations

Consumer Reports just rated tires in the Nov or Oct 08 magazine.
They rated the General Grabber #1 for all-season.

RE: 460 Owners!

I have a couple gear head buddys that build engines. I asked them about putting headers on my '97 460. They told me the exhaust that came on them breath pretty good and probably not worth the money. I wouldn't do it for $1,400.

RE: De- Humidifier

I'm so glad this topic was posted. I need a one of these.
My wife, I and our 2 little kids just came back from camping on the Olympic Peninusla. First time we camped when it was cold out, so we didn't have windows open. The ceiling vents were dripping wet. How do other deal with humidy in the camper? Sorry, don't mean to hijack the post. Chris

What a horrible story, especially when kids are involved. It just makes me sick. Glad to hear he didn't get out.

RE: Rancho steering stabilizer kit

I have one on our truck. It came with it. I'll take a picture of it tonight and post it for you. I'm sure the 4x4 places sell them, like Billy Bobs and Cascade.

RE: Eye opener pt 2

Ours wiggles a little while lowered as close as possible to the ground while only using the jacks. When I lay in the cab over bed, I can feel it wiggle a little while my wife walks around. Its rock solid sitting on blocks.

RE: Diesel Cheaper than Gas!

Thats amazing. I know Lakewood has gas for $2.95 gallong, Puyallup Costco is $3.19. and the Shell by our house on 39th in Puyallup was $3.43 gallon.
It just pisses me off reading articles on Yahoo or MSN news about OPEC wanting to decrease the supply so they can raise the price & revenue back up.

RE: Spreadsheet for Camping List...

Thats a good idea. We have one. I've been thinking about laminating it, so I can use a wax pencil and mark things off rather than making new copies.

RE: Covering camper for winter rain

Good points on the wind rubbing it on the corners. Our camper does have sharp corners from the gutter and roof edge.

Covering camper for winter rain

What do you all do to cover your campers that get left outside? I purchased one of these thinking it would be better than tarps because it can breath to let out condensation. Have any of you had luck with one of these or did I waste my money? :)

RE: Lance stereo

I know in my 845 they terminated in the cupboard next to the bedroom area, there should be a plate to unscrew and everything would be in there.
Dave
We have a 97 Lance 9500 Squire, this is where ours terminate.
